Karen Houghton Interiors has been providing clients with sophisticated design and livable homes since 1986. Karen works closely with clients to create uniquely personal interiors which are sensitive to family lifestyles and clients personalities. Known for the creative and thoughtful use of fine textiles, quality furnishings and antiques, KHI is committed to the design principle that "a room must be right for its time, its place and for people who live in it."

After attending Bennington College and spending several years apprenticing in her family's antiques business, Karen opened her design studio in Nyack. Karen, with her staff of three designers, can accommodate projects ranging in size from large estates to smaller assignments. In addition, she runs her own proprietary workroom, offering superb quality draperies and upholstery with endless flexibility and timely service to the client.

Karen has been published in "Architectural Digest", and in Chris Madden's "Bedrooms" and "Living Rooms" books, as well as many other publications.
