Karen Houghton Interiors has been providing clients with sophisticated interior design solutions to suit their homes and lives since 1986. Karen's interior design firm works closely with clients to create uniquely personal interiors which are comfortable, livable and sensitive to their lifestyles and personalities.

Known for the creative and thoughtful use of textiles, quality furnishings and antiques, KHI is committed to the interior design principal that "a room must be right for its time, its place and for people who live in it."

Karen, with her staff of three designers, can accommodate projects ranging from a single room to an entire house, from designing exceptional draperies, window treatments, and upholstery to planning the furniture placement for a whole house.

Although KHI's design studio is located in Nyack, N.Y., Karen's interior design team has worked extensively throughout the Tri-State area including Westchester County, Fairfield County, Bergen County and Rockland County.

After attending Bennington College and spending several years apprenticing in her family's antiques business, Karen opened her design studio in Nyack. She has been published in "Architectural Digest", and in Chris Madden's "Bedrooms" and "Living Rooms" books, as well as many other publications.
